Classroom Assignments -  
   
The notepad logo on the right will connect you to our new classroom wiki project. A wiki an online tool that allows several individuals to collaborate on a single piece of writing. We will be using this wiki to describe our classroom, the daily procedures, the types of projects that are conducted, and the students who learn there.
   
The NASA logo on the right will connect you to this year's NASA Explorer School Surveys. All Rosemont students and teachers are required to complete the survey by May 25th. Please answer each question thoroughly and at the completion of the survey, hit the submit button to turn in your responses.

Bayville-
What is the Chesapeake Bay?  Why is it important to the people, plants, and animals that live in the six-state watershed that drains into the Bay?  What’s happening to the Bay today?  In this online experience, students explore these and other questions as they become virtual research assistants for a video production company looking for significant stories about the science of the Bay.
   
Villainy Inc.-
This field trip integrates mathematical experiences and high adventure into a fun learning experience for middle school math students. In James Bond fashion, students use their problem-solving acumen to foil the plans of the evil Dr. Wick in animated missions that require critical thinking and math calculations in order to pave the way to a successful outcome.
   
Maryland Roots -
The experiences of people who founded Maryland were probably quite different than yours – dangerous sea voyages, backbreaking labor, and taming a wild land. But beneath the adventurous life, the settlers and colonists of Maryland were like all of us – uncertain and hopeful, wishing to make a small place for themselves in a large world. 
   
Knowing Poe -
Do you know Poe? Explore the mysterious life and haunting works of Edgar Allan Poe, one of Maryland’s most renown literary figures. But beware, there's something stirring in the darkness!
   
Pathways To Freedom: Maryland And The Underground Railroad-
During the time of slavery, numerous brave Marylanders guided slaves through to freedom through a unique collection of covert byways and secret hiding places. Take a closer look at Maryland’s unique role in the Underground Railroad and gain a greater understanding of its citizen’s commitment to liberty and civil rights for all.

Pablo Picasso single-handedly changed the face of 20th-century art. Inspire your students with some of Picasso's paintings online and explore his early influences as an artist with the Picasso electronic field trip.
